Your all-inclusive ensuite room has everything you need to study and socialise comfortably. We have a number of different light and airy studios with three large windows to select from each giving you different views of the city. With each room containing a 3/4 sized double bed, study area with desk, chair and loads of storage space this gives you loads of space to hang out. The kitchenette comes fully equipped with hob, oven and under-counter fridge/freezer with a breakfast bar to socialise around. Each room has its own good sized ensuite shower room.
Downstairs you can also make the most of the social spaces at Mercury House. There is plenty of room to set up a study session with friends, or unwind with a game of table football. Or simply just relax and watch a movie in the TV area.
Our Classic Studio rooms are based on floors 0 – 5 at Mercury House – you can choose your room.

Pay In Instalment
If the student has a UK-based guarantor or housing hand, The student can pay in 4 installments. Full payment 3 installment 4 installment 10 installment If the student does not have a UK-based guarantor The student must pay the rent in full Note: In case the student is paying in installments, then the property will ask for the initial payment 3 weeks before check-in If the student is paying in full, the property will ask you to pay 6 weeks before the date your tenancy commences. Note: The instalment plan may vary as per the room and tenancy selection.

Credit/debit card, bank transfer, and online payment. Note: The property does not accept cash.
Guarantor Requirement
Required for paying rent in instalments. Without a UK guarantor: Full upfront payment is mandatory. Guarantor criteria: Must be UK resident for at least 1 year. Must be over 21 years old. Must be a homeowner or in full-time employment. Must provide valid photo ID. Must provide proof of UK address (dated within the last 3 months). Third-party guarantor service: Housing Hand is recommended if the tenant cannot provide a UK guarantor. Note: The property does not accept other Guarantor Service Providers.
Additional Fees
Dual occupancy is available for most rooms that are 23sqm or larger. The total rent will be calculated as the standard room rate plus an additional £50 per week. Both applicants must apply separately and clearly state in their applications that they are requesting dual occupancy.
Security Deposit
The tenant has to pay £49 as a security deposit to book this property. Note: The security deposit will be refundable. If there is any damage to the room or communal area, the amount will be deducted from the security deposit.

Recycling
Management want to do their bit to protect the world, and they’re sure you want to do your bit too, so to make being eco-friendly easy for you they’ve provided recycling and refuse bins throughout your accommodation and they encourage all students to use the facilities provided to recycle waste where possible.
You should make sure that you empty packages completely and give them a quick rinse before you recycle them. Below you can find examples of what you can recycle and what goes in the different bins.
Be aware that if you put things in the wrong bin, it will contaminate the whole waste load which means that they cannot send that waste to be recycled. So, please take an extra couple of seconds to put things in the correct bin so they can help divert as much waste from going to landfill as possible.
Almost anything made of glass can be recycled, so make sure you put items like glass bottles and jars in the right bin and do not recycle broken glass or light bulbs. Anything that does not feature a recycling label must be put in the refuse bin. Other items that are not recyclable include: batteries, electrical appliances, kitchen waste, polystyrene, foam and sanitary products.
